
Bid & Contracts Manager

- Lead the bid management process from initial opportunity identification through to submission and contract award.
- Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitation documents to develop comprehensive bid strategies and proposal plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, finance, supply chain, and program management to gather inputs and prepare high-quality proposals.
- Develop and manage proposal schedules, compliance matrices, risk assessments, and bid budgets.
- Ensure all bids and contracts comply with internal governance policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, export controls).
- Support price-to-win strategies and contribute to cost estimation, pricing models, and contractual terms negotiations.
- Manage customer interactions throughout the bid lifecycle, including clarification requests, negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Maintain accurate records of bid submissions, status updates, and contract deliverables in the company’s bid management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in defense contracting, program/project management, and bid/proposal management.
- Proven experience working with government and defense procurement processes (DoD, MoD, etc.).
- Strong understanding of RFQ/RFP processes and commercial/government contracting principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with proposal tools (e.g., MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe, ERP systems).
