JOB ROLE:Analysis and Reporting
  • The Senior Lead for Health Analytics and Reporting (HA&R) directly assists the Head of the HA&R by contributing to day-to-day Section operations including:
  • Meeting HA&R internal and external reporting obligations;
  • Production of high quality reports which cover wide range of health system operations and outcomes;
  • Development and application of analytical models, utilizing statistical and mathematical modelling techniques, to get insights in health system operations and outcomes.
  • The outputs of the section support the strategic decisions on value-based healthcare policies and improvements in health system performance. The HA&R Section and Senior Leads work in close consultation with all SPPD Sections.
The Senior Lead: * Works across all reporting and analytical domains required for efficient functioning of the SPPD, including but not limiting to analytical assessment and reporting on healthcare providers' performance, National Health Strategy implementation and monitoring, healthcare quality and patient safety initiatives.
  • Contributes to and leads the delivery of Section outputs by ensuring reports and analytical briefs are quality assured for content adequacy and data accuracy to meet the end-user needs.
  • Manages a reporting structure, including data extraction, evaluation, reconciliation, visualization, and quality control; while aiming to achieve automated production of reports.
  • Manages the processes which continuously improve information availability and accuracy; contributes to streamlining of analytical and reporting processes within the organization.
  • Contributes to the continuous review of existing analytical and operational reports for their usability, readability and fit-for-purpose objectives and ensures the improvement processes are in place. Proactively identifies needs for new information and data, and follows with development and implementation of updated methodologies to improve performance assessment of the health system
  • Works with relevant parties across the MOPH and the health system to ensure the development and maintenance of the knowledge database relevant to planning and performance management functions; consolidates and standardizes information and reporting available within the organization and health sector.
  • Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis using relevant statistical methods and modelling, interprets findings and draws inferences to inform strategic direction and deliver forward-thinking health plans. Leads the design, development and maintenance of the analytical frameworks to model outcomes and develop cost effective responses.
  • Provides deep-dive analytical insights into health system performance, particularly for the areas requiring improvements, close monitoring or enhanced planning. Proactively works with SPPD Sections to identify and prioritize areas for investigation and makes recommendations.
  • Contributes to intelligence assessments to identify opportunities for healthcare interventions and policies using big data, health technology and non-health data available in the wider economy.
  • Communicates effectively through presentations and reports tailored to the intended audience.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal and external subject matter experts to achieve reliable, continuous, timely information flow.
  • Supervises team responsible for data analysis, evaluation, interpretation and reporting.
  • Performs other duties as requested to meet ongoing organizational needs
