The mission is to redefine how culture and events are monetized, creating immersive, authentic experiences that resonate locally and globally.The Head of Event Sales and Business Development is responsible for optimizing sales opportunities through creative strategies, unique selling propositions, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The role ensures achievement of sales targets while contributing to cost optimization initiatives to maximize profitability.Key Responsibilities:v Collaborate with the Director of Events & Sales to develop and implement sales strategies for venue hire and catering businesses.v Drive venue sales strategy across multiple events destinations and facilities.v Position the venues as preferred destinations for visits, tours, and events by fostering innovative and “out of the box” thinking.v Support the development of pricing strategies, booking policies, and guidelines.v Manage the full sales process from proposal and contract signing to CRM updates, delivery, and after-sales follow-up.v Conduct market research (local and international) to identify potential leads across MICE, weddings/social, corporate, and other segments.v Work closely with coordination, operations, and culinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of events.v Liaise with external service providers to ensure client requirements and logistics are met effectively.v Monitor service quality and conduct post-event reviews to ensure excellence.v Develop and deliver training programs for sales subordinates to enhance guest experience.v Represent the business at networking events, trade shows, and international conferences.v Perform additional duties as required by the Director of Events & Sales.Requirements· Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.· 8–10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years at a supervisory level.· Experience with international luxury hotels, event sales organizers, or convention centers is an advantage.· Strong negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with solid business acumen.· Proven ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.· Effective leadership skills with a focus on delivering results.· Positive, flexible, detail-oriented, and proactive approach.· Self-motivated, with the ability to drive outcomes with limited resources.· Proficiency in MS Office and venue booking systems.· Excellent verbal and written English skills (knowledge of Chinese/Putonghua is an advantage).( ) and follow us on our social media accounts - /Follow the Black Pearl channel on WhatsApp.Disclaimer: Black Pearl will never ask for money or any form of charge our candidates just to process or consider their application for any of our available vacancies.
