- Perform MIG welding on metal parts and structures based on approved fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate machine settings based on material type and thickness.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work plans.
- Execute welds in various positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead) at the production facility or job site.
- Inspect welds to ensure quality and accuracy and report any issues or equipment problems to the supervisor.
- Follow safety protocols and use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area and ensure equipment is cleaned regularly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality execution of assigned tasks.
- Carry out additional tasks or duties as assigned by the line manager related to welding or fabrication work.
