- Use GTAW (TIG), SMAW (stick), and other welding processes appropriate for high-temperature alloy materials.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures to execute accurate repairs and modifications.
- Inspect and prepare parts for welding by cleaning, grinding, and aligning as necessary.
- Conduct post-weld inspections and perform any necessary rework to meet industry standards.
- Operate portable and fixed welding equipment, including welding machines, grinders, and torches.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE, performing hot work safely.
Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and maintenance personnel.ProfileA skilled and detail-oriented Turbine Workshop Welder with hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and repair of turbine components in a controlled workshop environment. Proven ability to work with a variety of materials including high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and carbon steel using TIG, MIG, and SMAW welding processes. Adept at interpreting technical drawings and welding procedures to ensure precision and quality in all work.Experienced in supporting turbine overhaul projects, refurbishing parts such as casings, nozzles, diaphragms, and rotors. Committed to maintaining high safety standards and delivering high-quality welds that meet or exceed industry specifications (ASME, ISO, or customer-specific standards).
