Senior Estimation Engineers, Estimation Engineers** PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO QATARI CANDIDATES **Job Summary and PurposeMonitor and control the delivery of set Estimating strategy as aligned to the Business Plan and Revenue forecast by leading the team of estimating experts to perform the sales, bidding and tendering processes in a timely and effective manner in keeping with the Company's business objectives.Accountabilities
  • Acts as the main point of accountability for the estimating team, guiding officers in preparing accurate, high-quality quotations and bids to improve responsiveness and bid success rates.
  • Evaluate the reviews of the client's specifications, Terms and Conditions, and check their credibility.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on the cyclical and weekly planning process as required.
  • Evaluate and review the Tender / Order Review Checklist (IMS-COM-F-0002) to provide guidance for estimation team on the bidding process and recommendation for Sales Manager to ensure holistic and robust consideration is taken with each tender in line with policy, standards, pricing strategy, procedures etc.
  • Allocates and fully utilizes estimation resources, considering the workload and skill level as part of resource planning to ensure on-time quotation KPI's are met.
  • Proactively engage and follow up with Owners/Global Agents to improve estimation accuracy and increase chances of securing projects.
Evaluate invoicing performance on reasons for not being awarded and provide recommendations on corrective action to management to ensure continuous improvement is in place. * Performs other duties assigned.

Qualifications and ExperienceQualifications:
  • A Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 1 (Motor Ship) or its equivalent.
Experience:
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience out of which 3 years under senior engineer category.
