ResponsibilitiesMajor Responsibilities:
- Shall install, modify, fabricate and repair new and existing high/low temperature water, high/low pressure piping system, and various other equipment.
- Shall work from building plans, blueprints, and sketches to plan and lay out various piping systems and equipment.
- Shall test systems and equipment for proper pressures, leak-free joints, and ensure the proper operation of the systems.
- Shall plan and lay out the routing, placement, pitch, incline, and elevation of systems and equipment.
- Shall install, maintain, and repair a variety of plumbing, fixtures, equipment, and systems with a minimum of accompanying instructions concerning the work methods or the materials to be used.
- Shall repair various types of thermostatically controlled pipes, water lines, equipment, valves, and water mixing valves on all types of equipment.
- Shall maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions to include requesting parts, receiving parts, installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing equipment.
- Shall provide written reports after the completions of all inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications of each system or component.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Air Force (USAF) requirements.
- Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
- Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment, and tools).
- Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required. Associate degree or vocational training preferred.
- Must have a ASSE 13010 certification.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport.
- Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to drive with a manual transmission.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge.
- Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
- Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the operations, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and polices regarding the operation of equipment.
