- Provide Quality Systems support using the ISO 9001 Standard as the foundation for process development, procedure optimization, data collection, reporting, and Quality Systems training.
- Support the establishment of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and audit schedule, conducting Quality Systems audits and facilitating corrective actions.
- Perform independent audits in various areas, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, operations, maintenance, project management, and material management.
- Conduct audits and assessments of supplier/vendor/contractor QA/QC programs to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Review documents, prepare checklists and agendas for audits, and conduct pre- and post-audit meetings/interviews.
- Analyze findings, issues, and non-conformances identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends.
- Support and promote a uniform Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) and Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) tracking program to ensure a unified global system.
- Ensure that audited activities meet the company’s quality program and client quality requirements.
- Promote safety awareness by adhering to safety rules and requirements.
- Verify that the company’s and customers’ quality requirements comply with quality standards and program requirements for products and services provided.
- Prepare Quality Manuals, Quality Plans, and procedures to ensure compliance with project and client requirements.
- Review and approve (from a quality perspective) documents such as quality manuals, procedures, technical deliverables, test plans, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
- Provide support to management for interfacing quality activities with internal and external organizations, including customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Perform statistical process control and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in establishing and overseeing the implementation of a QMS related to the construction of highways and/or civil engineering structures.
- Internal auditor qualifications and experience in conducting Quality Systems audits.
- Registration with MME is mandatory to function as an Engineer in Qatar.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and conduct presentations to management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and quality management tools.
- Very good interpersonal skills to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders in a tactful and collaborative manner.
- Experience in preparing Quality Manuals, Plans, and Procedures for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with statistical process control and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
