Job SummaryThe Senior HSE Engineer supports the HSE Manager, Project Directors / Project Manager by assisting projects to implement the integrated management system and local legal regulations. To plan, implement, evaluate and analyze HSE activities at site to ensure HSE Target and objectives are measured and achieved.Job Responsibilities 1Leads the coordination the implementation of and compliance to the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and Project HSE Management Programme.Arranges, conducts and participates in training sessions, HSE Committee and Coordination Meetings. Advise the Project Manager /Director and other Supervisory Staff with regards to accident prevention and improvement related to work methods.Leads and supervises HSE officers onsite. Often lead the project in absence of Project HSE manager or in charge of night shift, often acting as deputy HSE manager.Plans, monitors and manages execution of HSE activities on a project as per the HSE plan and IMS requirements to ensure HSE requirements are met and system are followed effectively.Carry outs monthly HSE inspections for project sites and recording findings on time to design relevant improvement action plans.Plans and implements HSE audits for sub-contractors on quarterly basis.Job Responsibilities 2Prepares the HSE monthly monitoring program and ensure the implementation.Reviews and monitors timely reporting of project HSE performance and ensure achievement of HSE golas in project.Records and analyzes HSE project performance on a daily basis or minimum on weekly basis and maintain the HSE report.Prepares Project HSE monthly and weekly report.Coordinates and manages internal and external relationship for effective and efficient achievement of HSE goals.Conducts educative and informative meetings, tool box talks on a daily, and weekly or need basis to promote and achieve the HSE target.Ensure weekly supervisor tour is carried out 100% .Provide leadership, ongoing guidance and support and motivate the HSE team.Additional Responsibilities 3Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of all relevant safety regulations, procedures and instructions.Knowledge in Qatar and International Safety Standards.Knowledge in integrated management system.Knowledge of current and proposed applicable environmental regulations.High level of working knowledge and experience with regulatory requirements.Certified Fire Safety/ Engineering from a recognized institution.Audit QualificationsISO 45001 OHSMS and EMS 14001.Accident Investigation Certification, Scaffolding Training, Fire Safety Training and Rigging Training.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
