Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Fire & Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical,
Electronics, Environmental, Industrial, Instrumentation, Production Engineering or
Occupational Health & Safety
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Occupational Health, Safety &
Environment field as HSE Trainer / Instructor in utilities / construction sector.
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate,
monitor and evaluate)
Experience in delivering certification courses (IOSH & NEBOSH etc.)
Ability to develop training programs.
Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
MS Office proficiencyMajor Duties / Responsibilities
Develop procedure / system for periodic refresher HSE training courses inline with
approved training matrix
Provides training services to support the elements of the HSE Management System.
Includes training related to Occupational Safety, Emergency Services, Health,
Environment, and Risk.
Conducts training needs analysis for employees related to HSE Policy
and Procedures.
Develops, implements, and conducts appropriate training programs to support
identified needs.
Assists in the development of appropriate mandatory HSE training matrixes for all
employees.
Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of HSE training and develops appropriate
training solutions/changes to ensure a high level of quality and competency.
Submit regular reports to Safety & Loss Prevention Head of Section on the status of
the HSE training program. Analyze trends and make recommendations for
improvement.
Ensure that HSE training complies with Qatar Civil Defense, ISO 14000
and ISO 45001 requirements Computer literate and presentation skillCertification Requirements
Should be either CMIOSH (Chartered Member) or GradIOSH (Graduate Member)
having NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Certified
Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Environmental, Safety & Health Trainer (CET) by
Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
Also, should have following certification trainings.
Valid First Aid Certificate
Basic Fire Fighting Certificate from recognized institute
ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training (Preferred)
Train the Trainer Certificate
COSHH
Confined Space Entry
Risk Management (QRA, JSA, HAZID etc.)
Emergency Response & Preparedness
