What you will be doing:Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality bakery items including bread, cakes, and pastries.Support the Chef de Partie in daily bakery operations, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.Ensure mise-en-place is prepared and maintained efficiently throughout service.Follow recipes and presentation guidelines while being open to learning new techniques and styles.Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with HACCP and food safety guidelines.Maintain proper stock rotation and assist in monitoring inventory levels in the bakery section.Work collaboratively with the pastry and kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service for all outlets and events.Take ownership of your section when delegated, and proactively address any issues that arise during preparation or service.Demonstrate initiative in learning and growing your pastry and bakery skills under the guidance of senior chefs.Handle guest dietary requests and preferences with care and attention when required for personalized service.QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Previous experience in a professional bakery or pastry kitchen, preferably in a hotel or fine dining settingCulinary certification or diploma in bakery/pastry is preferredStrong passion for baking and pastry arts, with attention to detail and qualityGood organizational and time-management skillsTeam player with a positive attitude and willingness to learnUnderstanding of hygiene and food safety standardsAdditional InformationYour team and working environment:We are Dream Makers and committed to creating memorable moments for our guests and colleagues inspired by the authentic Qatari warmth and essence of generosity.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.Alwadi Hotel Doha is the first MGallery boutique hotel located within Msheireb Downtown Doha, vibrant new retail, commercial and residential development in the heart of Qatar’s capital, offering 213 luxurious rooms and suites with desirable amenities, a spectacular ballroom, and five class meeting rooms, with variety of restaurants and an exclusive spa and swimming pool.
