Job Description:Primary Purpose of the JobProvide regulatory support to QatarEnergy and its HQ-based subsidiaries (“QatarEnergy“)conducting trading and marketing activities (including QatarEnergy Trading, QatarEnergyLNG Marketing and QatarEnergy Marketing and Trading), where such support is inconnection with the laws, regulations and exchange rules of specific application to theproducts being traded or marketed (“Trading & Marketing Regulations”), except for theresponsibility to undertake surveillance and monitoring which will be undertaken by the LCGdivision as part of its broader compliance responsibility. The preparation and review ofinternal policies & procedures and the implementation of internal processes (includingreporting measures) to ensure compliance with Trading & Marketing Regulations, exceptthose required for surveillance and monitoring, for which the Trading & MarketingRegulations section will support the LCG division to ensure such activities are consistentwith Trading & Marketing Regulations. Support the LCV division on any projects that it isdeveloping and managing, to the extent involving Trading & Marketing Regulations.
Required Experience and Skills- Minimum ten years’ experience in legal, compliance, governance, audit or internalcontrol functions, ideally in an energy trading environment. Knowledge of industrytechnological tools is attractive.- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, withfluency in written and spoken English. Other language skills would be advantageous.- Proven people skills and experience of working in high pressure situations.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 suite of applications. Knowledge of industrytechnological tools is attractive.
Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Studies, Lawor equivalent, from an internationally recognized university.
