
Drainage Engineer

- Contribute to the development of conceptual and detailed engineering designs for infrastructure development projects.
- Prepare technical notes, design reports, and other engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary designs and resolve design challenges.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, management, and team members.
- Provide support for other wet utilities (foul sewer, potable water, and TSE) as required.
- Prepare engineering design models using Civil 3D or similar software.
- Utilize engineering software tools such as SewerGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and other relevant digital platforms.
- Apply standard engineering principles and techniques to complete complex assignments.
- Review design deliverables (plans, profiles, etc.) for technical compliance and construction clarity.
- Collaborate with BIM/CAD designers to finalize engineering drawings and resolve potential clashes with other utilities.
- Develop simple workflows or templates to improve design efficiency and consistency.
- Apply advanced engineering principles to analytical models as needed.
- Review and check the work of peers and less experienced engineers for quality and accuracy.
- Track and report progress against task assignments and baseline schedules.
- Support project deadlines by contributing as a productive and reliable team member.
- Prepare fundamental engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and surveys.
- Present proposals and design solutions to clients, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- May supervise junior staff and provide technical guidance and performance input.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as required by the project.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with preference given to candidates holding a master's degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures.
- Preferably already hold MME Engineer Registration or must be attained within six months. Experience in Qatar and the Middle East is a plus.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in design calculations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software.
