The Crane Operator is responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites or industrial facilities. They ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to the smooth progress of projects by handling heavy loads accurately.Key Responsibilities:Operate cranes and hoisting equipment to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, or other heavy items.
Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane machinery, including checking fluid levels, safety devices, and operational controls.
Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers, and other team members to execute tasks efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of crane operation logs and inspections.
Report any malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.Qualifications:Proven experience operating cranes and heavy lifting equipment.
Valid crane operator license or certification (as applicable per region/local laws).
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to crane operation.
Ability to read technical manuals, load charts, and blueprints.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and good eyesight/hand-eye coordination.
