Job Purpose:\[To carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy vehicles, including trailers and tankers, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.\[Key Responsibilities:\[\[ Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles (trailers, tankers, trucks, etc.).\[ Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in diesel engines and associated systems.\[ Overhaul, repair, or replace defective parts such as engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, clutches, suspensions, and steering systems.\[ Conduct periodic servicing, oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.\[ Ensure proper functioning of air brake systems, fuel injection systems, and cooling systems.\[ Test drive vehicles to verify quality of repairs and maintenance.\[ Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and reports on performed work.\[ Adhere to workshop safety standards and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.\[ Assist in breakdown support, including on-site repairs when required.\[ Report recurring problems and recommend improvements for preventive maintenance.
