About the job Senior Manager, Commercial (Chartering)Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesAccount Management of existing customers: Strengthen relationships with existing customers; understand customer; provide feedback to execution team and EVP to improve customer experience; ensure all complaints are dealt with effectively; increase share of wallet.Marketing, Business Development and Sales - Conduct competitor and market analysis, customer segmentation, and develop a list of target customers and partners; - Lead activities to increase market penetration, secure new customers and partners; - Think out of the box and open new customer segments where the island has not done business in the past; - Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and threats; propose plan and take actions to leverage opportunities and mitigate risks.Tender Management - Implement an effective market scan mechanism to ensure that the island is aware of all relevant tenders coming up; - Ensure tenders are responded with highest level of professionalism - time, technical specifications, pricing, etc.; - Responsible for pulling in all relevant parties to respond to tenders, queries, follow ups. Contract Management - Lead customer negotiations; - Ensure contracts are compliant with company policies and framework; - Ensure relevant parties are debriefed to flawless execution of terms.Ensure optimal vessel utilization - Responsible for marketing, chartering and sub-chartering of vessels; - Provide inputs to ensure higher relevance of vessels.Relationship Building - Grow existing relationships and grow new ones - local and regional companies in offshore industry.People Management - Effectively lead a team of highly experienced commercial managers; build a high performing team; - Ensure right People, Organization and Culture setup to support business strategy; - Provide coaching, effective escalation management, and remove roadblocks (internal and external) - Ensure all corporate HR activities are done effectively for the assigned team - Performance Management, Individual Development Plan, Career and Succession plan, etc.Ensure operations/work processes occur in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements to which compliance is requiredEnsure the health and safety of all employees and the protection of the environment for all sites/work premises under their control.
