Job SummaryResponsible to provide the diagnosis, treatment and support of critically ill and injured patients, particularly trauma victims and patients with multiple organ dysfunction.Job Responsibilities 1To provide patient support for hemodynamic instability (hypertension/hypotension), airway or respiratory compromise (such as ventilator support), acute renal failure, potentially lethal cardiac dysrhythmias, and frequently the cumulative effects of multiple organ system failure.Conducts rounds and undertakes supervision of treatment of the inpatients as well as screening and examination of the outpatients.Organizing, monitoring, and maintaining the clinical services provided within the department in order to achieve the highest possible level of patient care with optimum utilization of the available resources.Assumes direct responsibility for the patients under his/her medical attendance in the assigned unit.Job Responsibilities 2Participates in the various committees for the upgrading of services and organization of work within and outside the hospital.Actively participate in the planning and implementation of the department development plans and the different manpower training programs for the medical, technical and nursing staff in his/her area of expertise.Participates in scheduling of on-call duties and provides on-call services.Participates in the assessment and updating of drug, medical supply and equipment needs.Writes, completes and approves medical reports for patients.Participates in research activities.Performs special procedures as privileged.Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of the organization.Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the Head of the department and approved by the management.Additional Responsibilities 3Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Current and in a good standing medical license to practice in country of residence.Provides high quality care to patients in this area of medicine.Communication skills to explain complex medical information, procedures, answer questions to patients and their families.Technical skills to perform procedures and analyze data.Technical skills to interpret medical records, scan patient data and interpret test results.Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Perfect vision and visuospatial awareness.Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians and residents The ability to work well alone and within a team.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
