Senior Clerk - Accounting (6 months contract only)

- Organizational:
- Follow all relevant accounting policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Operational:
- Implement activities under close supervision
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in timely a manner
- Send letters to customers about their outstanding dues
- Count and check collections received from customers and ensure 100% reconciliation
- Follow up on dispute charges and prepare the customer statement
- Implement company policy in terms of credit facilities such as credit amount and credit period
- Facilitate the timely processing of invoice corrections and other account adjustments as well as allocating payments to the correct invoices
- Communicate payment delays to sales department to hold deliveries and services
- Analyze bank statements and balance sheet for high profile customers and propose credit application for them
- Report any discrepancy or un-remitted amount for future action from the management
- Participate in relevant projects and community activities as and when needed
