We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.Primary ObjectivesPreform professional engineering work involving considerable independence in approach, demanding considerable degree of originality, ingenuity and judgement, and knowledge of more than one field of, or expertise in a field of professional engineeringCoordination of specified tasks within the engineering discipline. Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the discipline area, including the supervision of engineers and graduates.To provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to clients for operating problems and capacity constraints of existing facilities.Develop and maintain a quality design threshold for the discipline through use of understandable quality procedures.To ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contracts specification and ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures in safe manner. * Engineer all design work in line with the QA manual and Worleys’ procedures.ComplianceWorking knowledge and ability to interpret and apply relevant International and local Codes and Standards and, client standards and specifications.Provide advice or guidance to resolve complex, ambiguous or special cases not adequately covered by design guides.Application of knowledge to add valueAbility to determine the advantages and disadvantages and relative costs of alternative design concepts and establish preferred concepts. Demonstrating continual improvement in the execution of work.Understanding and implementation of engineering and design processUnderstanding of design deliverables required for Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design, establishing appropriate level of detail and checking required for each phase.Equipment design, specification and procurement activitiesCorrectly select materials for different services, environments and applications.Competently review and comment on vendor data for a wide range of equipment and packages and, demonstrate the ability to plan and implement design activities to allow timely availability of and incorporation of vendor information into the design.Plan procurement and, understand delivery and shipping limitations and timescales.General software and analytical skillsExperience in discipline specific databases and efficient use of word processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel.Ability to learn and apply new software.Designs for constructability, commissioning, operations and maintenanceObtained at least Strong months of construction and or commissioning site experienceGeneralCompetently prepare proposals and reports, schedule and plan work effectively and, consistently complete work within budgeted hours.Safety in the workplaceProvide safety leadership in the workplace by example.Managing work, planning and organisationProactive approach in managing design activities to reduce overall project costs and durationsQualificationsQualifications

Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering from an accredited university
MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage

Industry Specific Experience:

Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification (Chartered Engineer preferable)
Telecom Engineering Design experience in both Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas projects.
Able to perform coverage calculation for CCTV, PAGA (acoustic study, noise study), GSM, TETRA, and VHF/UHF
Able to perform sizing calculations including bandwidth, storage, link loss budget, power consumption and heat dissipation
