DescriptionPosition at Al Jazeera Media NetworkProducer - The StreamThe Stream is Al Jazeera Media Networks award winning show where some of the most interesting current affairs discussions take place whilst addressing issues which are debated and dissected through a online discussion bringing audiences a fresh perspectives.As a Digital Producer you will be responsible for the daily digital output across multiple platforms. Emphasis should be placed on the accessibility and promotion of content as well as engagement.Responsibilities

Social Media Platforms experiences include content management systems, video distribution, social media, mobile applications, mobile web etc.
Experience in online journalism and sourcing stories from social media.
Continuous innovation in the digital space, using new ways to story-tell, promote content and engage with the community
Remain up to date with the latest tech developments. Constant research is a must.
Work with Presenter and Producers in producing relevant social media content for broadcast and community engagement
Coach and mentor Assistant Producers and interns
Coding ability and understanding technology at multiple levels
Perform other duties relevant to the job as requested

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

Minimum Bachelor Degree in Journalism
Minimum 3 years of experience as a digital producer/content creator with a focus on international news
Detailed knowledge of social media tools and wide use of social media as an editorial resource
Established social media presence
Understanding of verifying social media sources and web copyright
Graphics editing
Basic knowledge of HTML and content management systems is desirable
Wide knowledge of global current affairs
Knowledge of iNEWS and workflow desirable
Knowledge of multiple languages a plus
