Job SummaryTo assist pharmacists by performing all clerical duties necessary to ensure that a pharmacy is running efficiently. They answer telephone calls, manage the cash register, and restock shelves with medication and other pharmaceutical supplies.Job Responsibilities 1Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients under direction of licensed pharmacistMonitors prescription-filling process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and pharmacy policiesLiaises with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription informationTaking inventory of all medication and pharmaceutical supplies.Prepare insurance claim formsReceive, load and unload incoming goods from manufacturers, wholesalers and elsewhereNotify the pharmacist when stock is lowDirecting all questions relating to prescriptions, health matters, or medications to the pharmacist.Answering all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner.Job Responsibilities 2Restocking shelves with medications and other pharmaceutical supplies.Accurately typing and printing out prescription labels.Places orders for additional drugs as directed by the pharmacistCompletes patients' sales transactions for purchase of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical productsAttending to emails and calls.Pre-pack, assemble and label medicinesEnsuring that work areas are organized and clean.Any other task as assigned by management on a time to time basis as per the organization's needs.Additional Responsibilities 3Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong ability to meet production and quality standard as specified by supervisor, manager or pharmacistStrong ability to correctly read and interpret prescription terminology and medicationsAbility to pay attention to detail and communicate effectively with customers on the telephoneStrong keyboarding skills required for performing fast and correct data entry tasksManual dexterity, PC, and basic math skillsStrong knowledge of widely used generic drugs and their route of administration, as well as the ability to understand and interpret Latin signs and symbols usually found on drug labels.Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectivelyAudit and Inspection principles
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
