Applying for jobs

  • The details to apply to a position should appear in the job offer.
    There may be a form to fill out or a request for an emailed CV.
  • If you fill out your information as directed on the recruiter's own website, they should be able to receive your details. If you think an error may have occured and you want to verify that they received your information, try contacting them.
  • Some recruiters send a confirmation email when you apply for a job, but not all of them do. Since a confirmation is not guaranteed, it does not necessarily mean that your application was not received.
  • No, it's completely free to search for a job on Careerjet, no matter which of our job seeker services you choose. That includes our search engine, emailed job alerts, or uploading your CV so that recruiters can find you.

How to use Careerjet

  • Keywords are the words you enter as criteria to narrow down your job search.
    For example: sales representative
  • You can add words to specify your search,
    use (" ") quotation marks for exact word combinations,
    and a (-) minus symbol in front of the word to exclude it from the search.
    For example: "sales representative" -plastics
    for a sales rep job that does not involve plastics.
  • You can use the search engine on the homepage or conduct an advanced search of your own (accessible on the right of the 'Find' button).
    When you open an account, you can also set up Job Alerts. This way, we can keep you personally informed about new jobs matching your criteria. You can also upload your CV on our website so that it will always be convenient to apply to jobs online, no matter what computer you are using.

Job seekers account

  • Click on the Forgot Password link.
  • Log into your account and click Account
    There you will find the links: Name, Email, Password and Delete.
    Name to change your name details
    Email to change the email address for your Job Alerts
    Password to change your password
    Delete to remove your account
  • Your search criteria are probably not specific enough. You can add words to your search,
    use (" ") quotation marks for exact word combinations,
    and a (-) minus symbol in front of the word to exclude it from the search.
    For example: "sales representative" -plastics for a sales rep job that does not involve plastics.
  • Log in to your job seeker account, click on Alerts/searches and click on Edit.
  • Check the spelling of your email address and/or your password.
    Please note that the password is case sensitive.
  • You are responsible for sending your CV to the company.
    CVs are not sent automatically as we cannot be certain that you definitely want to apply for the job or if you simply saved the listing temporarily.
  • Log in to your account and click on CVs.
    Click on Add a CV and follow the instructions on the screen.
    You can upload files in .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, and .pdf format.
