Perform the cost analytics and planning function as per the governing costing framework and to meet the FAAD objectives, including close monitoring of the procure to pay process and capital work in progress process to ensure completeness of the data maintained to obtain costing analyticsAssist Section head and FAAD Manager in setting costing function based on cost-driven strategic objectives for the function by preparing result oriented key focus areas during the periodAbout this role: Managing project cost in order to minimize costEnsure efficient operations to perform the project within the approved budget.Assist the matrixed Financial resources in setting up projects in a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to track project expenditures / billings accurately and in a timely manner.Work closely with the business teams in Project Affairs and Asset Affairs.Prepare/generate accurate and timely project-specific reports for the Core Business to facilitate effective decision making. Coordinate closely with the matrixed Financial resources to rectify issue(s) identified, if any.Provide assistance to the decision maker, and the matrixed Financial resources, in ensuring that effective and efficient project management support is provided to the Core Business in terms of revenue/expense tracking, utilization monitoring and overall project realization.Support the matrixed Financial resources in providing consolidated financial plans and reports for projects as needed within the requirements of the different Project Management/Accountability teams.Support the matrixed Financial resources in ensuring that project cash flows (income, expenditure and fund transfers) are managed in a timely and accurate manner.Compile the information to fulfil the requirements for internal and external auditors.Liaise and respond to all queries by the matrixed Financial resources on all project accounting and Work closely with the decision makers to ensure that all project transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting procedures and applicable regulations / standards.Prepare and generate, under the direction of the decision makers, reports, and statistics detailing project-related transactions as and when required.Work closely with the decision makers to ensure that all project transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting procedures and applicable regulations / standards.In coordination with the matrixed Financial resources, investigate project variances and submit variance reports to managementKeep current with the latest laws, regulations, and applicable standards related to financial accounting.What you need to bring: Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration, Cost Engineering or in a relevant subjectCMA/CIMA /ACCA is preferable7-10 years of relevant experience in the career of cost accounting and management accountingProven strong knowledge base in cost accounting, cost control, cost and management reporting within large organizations, preferably government authoritiesProven experience in applying Total Cost of Ownership concept in reporting and Managing assetsAdvanced MS office skillsMS Power BI is a plus pointExperience within the Utilities Sector, with a processing the payments, costing etc.Experience of producing the expense reports, payment trackersBenefits: Salary:Monthly Rate in QAR Work Schedule:8 Hours / 5 DaysDuration:3 years with possible extensionLocation:Qatar
