Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical or Loss
Prevention Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience: More than 10 years of experience in loss prevention engineering. Must
have experience in Utilities (power & water) with required knowledge and background
of design, inspection, erection & commissioning of Loss Prevention systems
including evaluation and study of Fire Risk Assessments.
Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
Computer literate and presentation skill
Requires mobile communication during normal and outside office hours for
emergency contactCertification Requirements
Certified Fire Protection Specialist from NFPA.Major Duties / Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections / audits of KM facilities (office buildings, warehouse,
workshops, Substations, RPS & TFS etc.) & project construction sites.
Review life safety designs for new projects, and upgrade of existing facilities for
compliance with KM and QCDD regulations & applicable NFPA standard
Verification and approval of drawing submittals, site test reports, method statements,
schematics, and spare parts.
Supervision of site activities for loss prevention related issues if required
Witness all major pre commissioning & testing activities
Co-ordination with contractors and consultants and KM departments for loss
prevention related activities
Conducts technical evaluation of all materials / equipment used for Loss Prevention
Systems to ensure compliance to international standards and internal quality
standards
Ensure Loss prevention system construction and commissioning tests are carried out
as per KM HSED specifications
Reviews and comments on draft As-built drawings, Operation and Maintenance Should have valid Qatar Driving license
