With more than 99,600 employees, we operate a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring Senior Welding Inspectors to be based at our client side in Qatar for a period of 6 months. The job role is as follows:

Reviewing WPS, PQR and Welder Qualifications
Confirming correct WPS is applied as per weld MAP.
Witnessing Mechanical and radiographic testing of weld qualifications

Visual Inspection

Edge preparation of base material
Fit up and alignments of joints.
Qualification of Welders
Confirming proper consumables are being used (including material and diameters) and proper cleaning between passes along with proper machine settings.
Ensuring proper Pre Heat and PWHT Set up and performance and verifying welders' identification on completed Welds.

Non-Destructive Testing

Radiographic Technique and radiographic review
Dye Penetrant
Magnetic Particle
Ultrasonic
Hardness Test
Positive Material Identification Test
On Site Chemical Test
Crack In Dept Indication
All Other NOE Tests as required.
Witness Pressure tests hydrostatic and pneumatic.

Shop Inspection

Verifying proper handling and issuance of consumables
Reviewing MTR for base material and consumables
Confirming traceability of materials (alloys, low temperature carbon steel, pressure, retaining components, and other critical materials
Monitor shop welding documentation and verify proper handling of material.
Inspection of cladding process and clad materials

For Structural fabrication welding InspectionThe inspector shall confirm dimensions, and sizes of structural components during fabrication and erection, verify of welding appurtenances such as ladders, walkways, handrails etc.For Piping Fabrication welding inspections
The inspector shall confirm piping schedules, plump and level of piping systems.Qualifications

Bachelors / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Candidates worked from the client side will be preferred.
Inspector Shall have minimum 15 years of relevant experience with Subsea Items fabrication.
CSWIP 3.2.2 and ASNT RT,MUT, MT, PT
Minimum 10 Years of experience with oil & Gas projects
Should have worked on oil & Gas Projects , Qatar Gas Projects ,
